About the Book and Audience

This book grew out of lectures the author delivered at China Agricultural University in the Spring of 2018 and is addressed to science students of various levels, as well as educators or people with an interest in mathematics. The main purpose of this book is to fill the gaps left in standard elementary calculus courses with a particular focus on the clarity, accuracy and completeness of analytical and logical arguments. The author also aims to foster mathematical maturity by maintaining a high level of rigor throughout the book.

About the Author

Dr. Diamantis Ioannis is currently a visiting professor at China Agricultural University, International College Beijing. He received his Ph.D. degree in low dimensional topology and Knot theory from National Technical University of Athens in 2015 and has over 12 years of experience teaching calculus and analysis courses. In 2018, Professor Ioannis received an outstanding teaching award from International College Beijing. Professor Ioannis has also published a number of articles in Low Dimensional Topology. In his spare time, he enjoys playing the guitar, watching movies and traveling around the world.
